This week's topics include Public health, molecular biology technology, organic chemistry, microscopy, genetic engineering, paleontology, geology, and entomology.
Age:
The event is designed for ages 15+, but we can make exceptions depending on how many participants sign up.

Locations:
All locations will be at various buildings at the University of Alberta North Campus. Check-in will be in the CCIS building most days, but we'll let you know if it changes!

Frequently asked questions
Yes! For participants who have paid tickets, you will receive an email with two waivers. The event waiver must be signed by all participants to attend. The FOIP waiver allows us to use pictures to promote our events in the future. Oh, and don't forget to fill out the registration form!
To make our ticket prices as low as they are, unfortunately we had to sacrifice providing lunches. Participants are expected to bring their own food or purchase food from a vendor on-campus.
Not really. There is an emphasis towards life sciences, but our event includes chemistry, astronomy, and engineering among other things.
You can, but we don't recommend it. Each week is designed for a new set of participants so many of the activities will be repeated between weeks.
Yes, however the event is designed around high school level academics and younger participants may find some of the activities more challenging or confusing. Participants below 12 years old will not be allowed to participate due to safety concerns.
Bring a lunch, water bottle, and a phone! On days we have labs, you are required to wear floor-length pants, close-toed shoes, and bring hair-ties if you have long hair. Some days will require devices. You may bring your own if you'd rather not use a computer at the UofA.
The Windsor parking lot is the closest lot to CCIS with a (relatively) affordable price. It runs for $17 CAD a day.
