💡 “Hair Braiding as STEM” continues to receive incredible community support. While that work is currently housed within my PhD research and not available for public events, I’ve created a new offering in response to continued requests.

🏀🎨🎶 Most people can recognize aptitude for sports, arts, and music—but often miss the raw STEM aptitude. 🧠✨ Raw STEM aptitude shows up in classrooms and homes every SINGLE day! 📚🏠

👩🏾‍🏫 Teachers are trained to teach—and can recognize aptitude from test scores. Meanwhile, struggling students with raw STEM aptitude fall through the cracks. The power of our workshop is converting that everyday brilliance into academic success. 🚀📈

⚠️ This is not your average STEM workshop with a list of activities.

🌟 Our session takes cultural brilliance and translates it into actionable tips, academic outcomes, improved classroom engagement, and boosted test scores.

📘 This workshop shares 26 proven beginner-friendly, culturally grounded strategies designed to boost student performance and build long-term connections to STEM. 🔬👨🏽‍💻🌍

Walk-ins accepted at 1:05pm. 🚫 This is not a list of STEM activities.

Frequently asked questions

Will STEM activities be provided?

This event is not a list of STEM activities. STEM is academic and activities are an extension of the academic so our approach strengthens academics first.
