About this event

Music • Classical

Traversing musical eras and emotional landscapes, the program opens with Elgar’s Introduction and Allegro, a lush homage to English string traditions, with the Terra String Quartet bringing their refined ensemble sound to the spotlight. Golijov’s Ever Yours, a musical letter inspired by Beethoven’s personal writings, follows with a deeply introspective modern voice that is lyrical, searching, and quietly intense, again featuring TSQ’s artistry. The evening culminates with Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata, reimagined for expanded instrumentation and performed by acclaimed violinist Stefan Jackiw. This transformation reveals new dimensions of the work’s drama, intimacy, and brilliance.
