What ages is this for?

The Professor Sko Science Show "Let's Go Make Music" is optimal for grades 3-7. However, younger and older students (and even adults) will have fun and learn science and math.

Do adults need to pay to attend the show?

Accepted Answer

Teachers and chaperones are free! Seating is extremely limited so we can provide 1 adult ticket for every 10 students.

What time should we arrive?

We recommend your students are in their seats 20-30 minutes before the show starts. A pre-show of music and videos will keep them entertained. The pre-show begins 45 minutes before showtime. All tickets are general seating, so the earlier you arrive, the more seat choices you will have.

When should we purchase our tickets?

You will want to purchase your tickets as early as possible. Nebraska Wesleyan University's newly-renovated McDonald Theater is a state-of-the-art performance venue, but only has 200 seats. The sooner you sign up, the sooner you lock in your seats.

Is there parking for our busses?

Can we arrange to have lunch on campus?

If you bring brown bag lunches, we can provide your students seating outdoors on the grass with weather permits, or on the floor of our Fine Arts building.

My school district needs to know the exact curricular content of the show. Can I find that out?

Email Dr. Mark Thompson at mthomps7@nebrwesleyan.edu. He will provide you with a complete list of Nebraska State Content Standards that are taught during the show.

Who is hosting this event?

The Wesleyan Institute for Successful Educators (WISE) Honors Program of the NWU Education Department is co-hosting the event with the NWU Music Department, with cooperation from the NWU Theater Department. It is available at a greatly reduced cost due to generous funding from Nebraska EPSCoR.

For sure! This event is great for homeschoolers, private schools, community youth groups, church groups, and more. As Professor Sko says, "Science is for everyone who loves it!"
