Join us this All Saints Day for the State of Hoodoo Address — a sacred conversation among Chicago’s Hoodoo elders on how our ancestral ways continue to evolve, survive, and speak power in today’s world.
This intimate dialogue brings together leading voices in the city’s Hoodoo, ancestral, and spiritual traditions. Together, they’ll share wisdom on lineage, healing, decolonization, and what it means to live our practices out loud in modern times.

Featured Speakers
Professor Allen Turner
Professor of Game Design, DePaul University
Allen Turner is a game designer, storyteller, artist, author, composer, and performer who has been involved in storytelling and education most of his adult life. He teaches game design at DePaul University and runs the DePaul Originals Game Studio. He believes in the power of play and story as fundamental, powerful medicines which shape our sense of self, relationships, and our connection to the cosmos.
Embracing a connection to ancestors and trickster spirits, Allen's Hoodoo practice uses the tools around us every day — exploring the narrative power of dance, virtual spaces, physical artifacts, roleplaying, sound design, and play as essential parts of ritual, transformation, and decolonized worldbuilding.
