Startup School: Session 1 – So You Think You Have a Business?

What to Expect:
In this interactive, day-long workshop, you'll explore:
- The startup journey from idea to launch.
- The Business Model Canvas, with a focus on Value Propositions and Customer Segments.
- An introduction to NSF I-Corps customer discovery methodology. Participants will gain an understanding of how these programs support and accelerate the translation of research discoveries to products and services that benefit society.
- Advice session with UVM faculty and researchers who are actively building their own ventures.
- A Networking Lunch with fellow innovators.
🎤 Featuring Cornell Lecturer and National I-Corps Core Instructor, Ken Rother, a senior executive with 30+ years of experience in startups, technology innovation, and commercialization strategies.
Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one to discuss their own ideas or ventures.
