Startup Longmont and Longmont Startup Week: Smart City Hackathon
Event Information
Description
Come join the fun, the challenge, and make a difference at the Startup Longmont Civic Hackathon presented in conjunction with the TechStars Startup Week Longmont 2018, Colorado Smart Cities Alliance, Xilinx, NextLight and CoSolve. We invite you to join our volunteer group made up of technologists, strategists, mentors and entrepreneurs to hack on problems our cities face, and to co-solution and co-develop ways to solve those problems with technology.
Coders, data scientists, project managers, creative thinkers, entrepreneurs and passionate activists are all welcome and wanted. The hackathon challenge projects will be presented by the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance. Xilinx will be providing technology support and expertise over the weekend, Xilinx will also be providing PYNQ-Z1 development boards (limited quantities will be available) including educational material ahead of the event.
During the hackathon, volunteer teams can code for current projects that fall within the challenge areas, or brainstorm and present new solutions to the challenge problems. The hackathon will be a great opportunity for budding developers to sink their teeth into projects and for entrepreneurs and civic employees to come together on solving our cities challenges.
We are accepting teams of up to 5 members, please reserve "Team Member" tickets according to the number in your team. After you have made your ticket submission we will be in touch to complete the registration process.
In the meantime please check out the Xilinx PYNQ Open Source project here: http://www.pynq.io/
