AI Longevity Lab: Hacking Healthspan, Healing, and Human Futures

A first-of-its-kind hybrid program at the intersection of AI, healthspan, and human futures.

Learn directly live from Stanford faculty who teach Stanford students — blending research, AI practice, and entrepreneurship into a first-of-its-kind hybrid program (onsite at Stanford or online).

The program consists of three independent 4-week modules — no prerequisites — and three grading options. Module 1: Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:30 pm PACIFIC TIME ZONE, Oct. 14-Nov. 4,

Module 2: Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm PACIFIC TIME ZONE Nov. 11-Dec.9, (NO CLASS Nov. 25)

Module 3:Tuesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm PACIFIC TIME ZONE, Jan. 27-Feb.17, 2026

  1. Only audit – no grade, badge, or certificate
  2. Stanford Genetics Department Badges in AI & Longevity (on blockchain) – earned with a grade of C or aboveModule 1: Stanford Genetics Department Explorer Badge in AI and Longevity (on Blockchain)Module 2: Stanford Genetics Department Researcher Badge in AI and Longevity (on Blockchain)Module 3: Stanford Genetics Department Futurist Badge in AI and Longevity (on Blockchain)
  3. Stanford Genetics Department Certificate in AI & Longevity (on blockchain) – earned by completing all three modules with grades ≥C

Each course: $500 · Hybrid (Stanford + Online).

Expect additionally ~3 AI tool subscriptions (≈$20/month each) for hands-on project work.

What you’ll build

Using tools like ChatGPT, Soopra, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, Lovable, and Replit, you’ll create your own:

  1. AI Explainer or Portal – communicate the biology of aging in new ways
  2. AI Research System – vibecode a no-code research assistant for longevity science
  3. AI Intervention Platform – prototype a predictive dashboard, wellness tool and roadmap for extending healthspan

Modules at a glance

  1. AI Longevity Explorer Badge – Generative AI basics + aging biology + personalized medicine
  2. AI Longevity Researcher Badge – AI-assisted literature mining, molecular pathways, experimental design
  3. AI Longevity Futurist Badge – Systems biology, drug discovery, aging vaccines, predictive models, future interventions
Detailed Program Syllabus

Module 1 – AI Longevity Explorer (October 14-November 4, 2025)

Foundations of AI + Healthspan Science

  • Week 1: What is healthspan and why AI matters
  • Week 2: How generative AI works (intuitive, no math)
  • Week 3: Aging biology & personalized medicine (senescence, mitochondria, NAD+, epigenetics, ageotypes)
  • Week 4: Explaining science with AI (storytelling + visualization)

Project Options

  • Create an AI-powered explainer (using ChatGPT Builder, Lovable, or Gamma) for a key concept in longevity
  • OR build an AI-powered longevity portal prototype that educates users on aging pathways

Module 2 – AI Longevity Researcher (November 11-December 9, 2025 NO CLASS ON November 25)

AI as a Collaborator in Aging Science & Intervention Design

  • Week 1: Organ-specific aging (kidney, cardiovascular, neurodegeneration)
  • Week 2: AI for molecular longevity (omics, senescence, NAD+)
  • Week 3: AI for experimental design & candidate intervention mapping
  • Week 4: Presentations of AI-assisted research insights

Project Options

  • Use AI to create a structured research review + visual model of an aging system
  • OR design an AI “research assistant” system (vibecoded with Lovable/Replit) that queries aging data and generates hypotheses

Module 3 – AI Longevity Futurist (January 27-February 17, 2026)

Systems Biology, Vaccines, Predictive Models, and Human Futures

  • Week 1: Systems biology of aging (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, epigenomics)
  • Week 2: AI for drug discovery & aging vaccines (Agemica case study)
  • Week 3: AI for predicting healthspan (epigenetic clocks, digital twins, longevity forecasting)
  • Week 4: Future of AI in longevity — speculative but evidence-grounded

Project Options

  • Create an AI-driven intervention roadmap (drug, vaccine, lifestyle, or biotech approach)
  • OR build a longevity intervention system: an AI wellness guide, portal, or predictive dashboard for healthspan extension

Capstone Pathway

Students completing all three modules with letter grade badges (≥C) earn the Stanford Genetics Department Certificate in AI & Longevity (on blockchain).

Final showcase integrates:

  1. An AI-driven explainer or portal
  2. An AI-assisted research system or review
  3. An AI-powered intervention system, dashboard, or roadmap

Projects are published on the Stanford AI & Longevity Lab website.

PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO ATTEND THE COURSES.

All sessions will be recorded and shared for those not able to attend during class time.
