About this event

Family & Education • Education

A 3 day triple play to strike out low test scores, disengagement, and teacher burnout. You’ll learn more about what you are teaching, how to teach it, and how to create the classroom structure needed for success. Join us for 3 days of intensive learning designed to rejuvenate your practice and energize your classroom to create a community of thinking, learning, and joy. Registration for this event includes all 3 days.

January 22, 2026 - We’ll crack open the Indiana Math Standards and deepen your understanding of what it takes to go from Standard to lesson plan. We’ll clarify what resources to use when, and how to use them effectively for planning. Come ready to learn and leave with protocols to improve your aim at the right target, higher student achievement.

February 19, 2026 - We know what good teaching is, we just have to have the courage, fortitude, and determination to do it. That starts with a strong knowledge base of the 8 Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices from NCTM. We’ll spend our time together experiencing what these practices look like and how to implement them in your own classroom. Come ready to learn and leave with a vision of improvement and a toolbox to get it done.

March 12, 2026 - Now that you know what you’re teaching, and the teacher moves to teach it well, you need a structure that gives it the space to happen. That structure is a thinking classroom. On this final day of the triple play you’ll learn how to get started building your thinking classroom using strategies from Peter Liljedahl’s book, Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics. We’ll give you a great start and a path to add strategies throughout the school year to improve engagement and build efficacy. Come ready to learn and leave with a plan to make real, lasting, positive changes in your classroom.

If you’ve felt stuck, in a rut, or you feel like your aim is off and you’re just not getting the results you want, let us help. If you feel like you’ve been striking out as the batter and you’re ready to turn the tables, we can help. If you just think, there’s got to be a better way, we can help.

This series is for Math teachers in grades 3 through Algebra 2, who are ready to upgrade their career and shift their teaching into a higher gear.
