About Our Facilitator

Courtney is the founder of Big Picture Branding providing brand strategy and copywriting for purpose-driven businesses. For over a decade, she has empowered people and organizations to use storytelling as a way to connect and communicate with their audiences. Courtney has held positions within NYC’s “Big Six” publishing houses and her work, writing, and ideas have been recognized by Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, St. Martin’s Press, The New Yorker, Elizabeth Arden, Working Mother Magazine, and more. When she isn’t in a strategy session with her clients or chasing after her two daughters, Courtney moonlights as a freelance writer, a Refugee Mentor with Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island, and a Student Mentor with Pathways in Technology Early College High School (PTECH). She obtained a B.A. in English Literature and Language from the University of Washington and an M.S. in Digital and Print Media from NYU as a Bantam Publishing Studies Fellow.
