This Class will be instructed by 4th generation stained glass artist and instructor Hailee Hines. The studio is resrvd for 8 hrs. 9am to 5pm

There will be 4 patterns to choose from. You will choose 2 sheets of glass priced $19.99 and under from Agitsi glass gallery. (glass not used will remain at Agitsi for future students) there is student glass available as well. If you would like to purchase additional glass, students get a 20% off discount. Outside glass is not allowed.

You will have your own fully equipted stained glass work station assigned to you. You are welcome to bring your own cutter and tools but it is not necessary. Please make sure your name is marked on them if you do.

You will be learning to use Lead pattern shears, cut glass, cut lead and frame with lead or zinc. You will also learn to cement your piece and add a hanger.

You are welcome to take breaks, leave for lunch at your own will. We have a cold/Hot water machine, microwave, kcup coffee maker. There are amazing eateries around us including Arnold's Hamburgrs, Tamale Boyz, Billy Rays BBQ, Ollies and more.

Covered cups are recomended.

 Stained Glass Classes with Agitsi

At Agitsi Stained Glass, llc you will learn the art of stained glass in a beginner friendly atmosphere. Our unique glass studio gives you an individual creation station that has all tools and equipment you will need to learn. Here's what you will learn.

  1. The Glass itself. Choose your glass for your project. learn the different types of glass and texture of how stained-glass sheets are made.
  2. Pattern Basics. How to trace a pattern onto glass. The importance of lead or foil sheers.
  3. Glass score/cutting. Learn how to use a glass cutter and tools to start your masterpiece.
  4. The Grinder. Every station is equipped with a glass grinder. Find out how and why it is used.
  5. Copper Foil or Lead method? Learn how to choose, why and skilled ways to apply these methods to stained glass.
  6. Soldering. If you can use a glue gun, you can solder. We will teach you.
  7. Classes are set up to be beginner friendly and fun. We have a lot to teach but you will be surprised how fast the time flies when you're having fun. Make and Take classes are created to allow enough time for you to complete your project and take it home with you.
