Overview

Two sisters, their scullery maid, their dog, a visiting governess, and… a talking moor-hen??? It's a crazy romp through rural 1840s England.

David Wintersteen directs a staged reading of The Moors at Verge Theater

Join us at Verge Theater this Friday or Saturday evening, Dec. 19-20, at 7pm for a staged reading of The Moors by Jen Silverman.

This crazy romp through the moors of Victorian England features a governess, a pair of sisters and housekeeper all vying for control of the house and its inhabitants. Meanwhile, a philosophical dog and talking bird try to navigate a cross-species relationship that may or may not be a metaphor.
