Staged Reading of Omo Mi the play: Family & Friends Edition

Omo Mi, written by Sadia Alao and directed by Jasmine Mitchell & Whitney Jarrett, is an award-winning coming-of-age one act play about a young Nigerian-American girl faced with an unexpected pregnancy, a potential abortion, and conflict with her traditional Muslim mother.


“Omo Mi” translates to “My Child” in Yoruba


Guests are also invited to stay for a post-Reading talk back.
