About the Playwright

Wendy Bryan Michaels is a versatile storyteller known for her quirky characters and authentic voice. With a rich career spanning stage and screen—I Love You Phillip Morris, My Sister Is So Gay, Rabbit Hole—she now brings her newest work to the stage. Loving Mathew, marks her latest contribution to contemporary theatre.

Michaels has received critical acclaim and award recognition, including LAWEBFEST wins and a Carbonell Award win. She is also a passionate advocate for captive elephants rights and is currently developing new projects, including a documentary and short film.
