Overview

A 1 day face to to face Regional Anaesthesia course for Welsh School of Anaesthesia trainees at Grange University Hospital on the 15/01/2026

This course is targetted at the RCoA 2021 curriculum HALO outcomes for Stage 2 Regional anaesthesia.

It is only available for Anaesthetic trainees in the Wales Deanery who are currently in Stage 2 of their training, if this is not you, DO NOT apply as your reservation will be cancelled.

The course will Include:

  • Pre reading to cover background material and familiarise attendees with relevant guidelines
  • Scanning sessions for brachial plexus, trunk, and abdominal wall led by experienced clinicians (of note, attendees will be encouraged to scan each other to provide variety - please let faculty know if you are not comfortable being scanned)
  • Interactive sessions addressing HALO requirements such as consent, complications, anticoagulation and problem solving
