ST. LOUIS NAACP TO HOST AI-POWERED REENTRY HACKATHON ON MAY 10

ST. LOUIS, MO – The St. Louis NAACP is proud to announce its upcoming Reentry Hackathon: Harnessing AI for a Second Chance, taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St. Louis NAACP Building, located at 4811 Delmar Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108.

This groundbreaking event invites returning citizens, service providers, community members, developers, and advocates to join forces and explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can be applied to solve critical challenges within the reentry process. Attendees will participate in hands-on problem solving, learn from innovators in the field, and co-develop practical AI-powered tools to support reintegration and reduce recidivism.

“Technology is the key to unlocking second chances. This hackathon is about building a future where returning citizens are supported, not sidelined—and AI gives us the tools to do just that,” said Courtney Allen Curtis, Chair of the Criminal Justice Committee.
