Event description

Description

The Southern Rockies Seed Network is proud to host their 3rd Annual Conference at The Ranch, Loveland CO. This year's theme is "Ecotypes: Science, Practice, & Policy". The Keynote speaker is Peggy Olwell, National Plant Conservation Program Lead for the Bureau of Land Management in Washington, DC, who has worked on endangered species and plant conservation issues for over 30 years, and has lead the development of the National Seed Strategy. We are also very honored to have Nancy Shaw and Stanford Young join us as national experts in the fields of plant materials research and certification, respectively.

The day will include high quality oral presentations and posters by practioners, scientists, land managers, students, and policymakers to enhance our understanding and use of ecotypic plant materials throughout the Southern Rockies Ecoregion. This conference is a great opportunity to grow your network, and help expand the Southern Rockies Seed Network so that together we can improve the availability of ecotypic plant materials in our regions.
