Sprout Scouts Overview
Get ready to dig, discover, and grow! Violet's Sprout Scouts is a playful hands-on gardening class for ages 4 -13. Over four engaging sessions, young botanist will learn to grow their own food and expore wellness benefits of herbs while discovering the magic of soil, seeds, and beneficial bugs.
From planting sunflowers and building worm hotels to tasting garden teas and transplanting watermelon sprouts, each class blends gardeing, movement, storytelling, and science. Kids will use all five sense as they explore the garden world, record their discoveries in a real Botanist Journal, and celebrate their progress with a sweet graduation party!
Kids Will:
- Plant and take home Miniture Sunflower and Sugar Baby Watermelon Sprouts
- Build a worm hotel and learn how soil supports plant life
- Explore herbs using sight, touch, and smell, and taste
- Learn about pollinators and helpfu insects
- Keep a journal like a real botanist
- celebrate wuth watermelon treats and a mini graduation
No backyard needed!
Just curiosity, creativity, and a love for nature. Whether your a child is a seasoned seed-sower or a brand new to gardening, they'll walk away with new skills, new friends, and a new love for the earth.

Comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty
Yes! parents are welcome to stay or drop off their kids. There is a waiting area nearby, and we encourage you stay close to your phone in case they need to use the restroom.
Our classes are held indoors, so we'll be gardening rain or shine!
We provide all necessary materials for class, covered by a $10 supply fee. This includes: Biodegradable planting cups, potting soil, and sunflower seeds. A deli cup for worm observation and composting worms. Crayons, stickers, and a botanist journal.
