Spring Cleaning Day: Part 2 – Volunteer Stewardship Event
Arabia Mountain Nature Center – 3787 Klondike Rd, Stonecrest, GA 30038

Event Details
Roll up your sleeves and join the Arabia Rangers as we tackle spring cleaning tasks to prepare our Nature Center for the busy summer season! Whether you prefer outdoor stewardship or light indoor organizing, there’s something for everyone. This volunteer day is split into three sessions, each with different focuses to match the time of day and temperature.

Session Times

  • Morning Session (Outdoor Focus): 9:00–11:30 AM
  • Midday Session (Mixed Indoor/Outdoor): 12:00–2:30 PM
  • Afternoon Session (Light Indoor Tasks): 3:00–5:30 PM

Volunteer Goals for the Day

  • Beautify the Nature Center grounds through mulching, weeding, and clearing debris.
  • Remove unused outdoor materials and organize tools and lumber.
  • Prep new stewardship areas like the compost bin site and educational storage space.
  • Clean and organize our education supply closets and high-touch areas.
  • Perform basic tool maintenance like sharpening and oiling hand tools.

What to Expect
All tools and supplies and training will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves or favorite hand tools. We recommend wearing outdoor-appropriate clothing, closed-toed shoes, and bringing a water bottle. Some tasks may be physically demanding or involve exposure to sun or dust. We do have specific tasks for different times of the day, but if you prefer a specific task, feel free to let us know and we should be able to accomodate.

Each session will include a short orientation, water breaks, and light snacks. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome!
