Spring Blooms at Sunset
By CREW Land & Water Trust
Overview
It's spring - here come the wildflowers!
Spring is Florida's growing season, with an array of flowers along the trails. From milkweeds to asters, oranges and magentas, the flora will not disappoint! Each flower has a name, a story, and a list of importances in the watershed. Let us discover their stories with former CREW Trust educator, Julie Motkowicz.
Julie worked as CREW Trust's education coordinator from 2020 to 2023. She now works with Conservaation Collier managing preserves. She is self-proclaimed plant nerd, serving as the vice president of the Naples Native Plant Society and spending her free time following flowers.
