Spring 2026 Obedience Class Session

Classes Offerings and Requirements:

S.T.A.R. Puppy - Open to puppies under 1 year of age as of March 26th 2025. Must have completed full puppy vaccinations to participate. Follows AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy curriculum and includes the opporunity to earn the NEW AKC STAR Puppy title.

Beginning Obedience - Open to all dogs with complete vaccinations, follows AKC Canine Good Citizen curriculum and includes the test for AKC CGC title.

Intro to Dog Sports - Open to all dogs over 15 months, who have passed their CGC evaluation and includes opportunities for AKC Trick Dog, Fit Dog, Fetch and CGCA titles.

General Information

• Purebred and mixed breed dogs are welcome in all our classes.
• Classes are taught using positive reinforcement with toys, treats, play, and praise.
• Sessions consist of 9 weeks, Basic Obedience will have CGC on the 9th week. Intro to Dog Sports is 10 weeks and will have CGCA, Trick Dog and Fetch on the 10th week.
• Fee for nine classes is $125.00. Use promo code RESCUE for $10.00 off if you are registering with a rescue dog.
• We meet at the Coastlife Credit Union in Corpus Christi, located at 6810 Saratoga Blvd. between Airline and Rodd Field. (Training area is located behind the credit union where the drive-through lanes are.)
• For safety reasons, a slip or martingale type collar is required on all dogs.

First Class Information - Orientation

• Bring proof of vaccinations
• Leave your dog home for this class only, it is easier to take notes and practice footwork without hanging onto a leash! Our ultimate goal is to teach you to teach your dog.
