About this event

On February 28, 2023 we are launching our spring LA Tech IT Career Academy, a partnership with Microsoft and LA County. The LA Tech Career Academy is one of the most exciting programs LA-Tech.org launched in 2022. The academies are a paid 12 week program that act sort of like an apprenticeship for an internship, giving our scholars not just the skills, but the industry exposure and network needed to launch a career in tech.

Through an innovative partnership with LA County, we have forged a public-private partnership that supported almost 200 LA Tech Scholars in 2022 with two academies, one focused on IT & cybersecurity and the other focused on business and entrepreneurship. We hope to launch a third academy this year and a fourth next year, focusing on marketing and creative tech pathways. If successful, we believe this has the potential to be a national model. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination (or valid medical/religious exemption) is required to attend. This event will be outdoors/ indoors. Wearing masks is required when indoors and outdoors masks are optional.
