Join DC Horror Book Club and Solid State for a family friendly Spooky Storytime on October 25, 2-4pm!
Book club members will be reading Halloween themed stories and leading activities for students from ages K-6th grade.
You'll have the chance to sign up for our costume contest and fashion show, where all participants will get a goodie bag and the winner will receive a special prize from the book club and Solid State Books.
Agenda
2pm- Younger student (K-2nd grade) story hour with accompanying activities.
3pm- Costume Contest! Free to register.
3:15- Older student (3rd-6th grade) spinechilling ghost story circle! (Younger students are welcome to stay and join another story hour led by our book club members.)
4pm- Stick around for a special reading from our horror writing workshop participants! (NOTE: content may be unsuitable for students under the age of 16)
Register today and consider donating to our scholarship fund. Entry is free but all donations or merchandise sales will go to our StokerCon 2026 Scholarship Fund for local horror writers.
All children should be accompanied by an adult, parent, or guardian.
