Spooky Reader/Writer Halloween Event

By Marisa Macliz

Overview

Get ready for a spooktacular night at our Halloween event - it's gonna be a real scream!

Welcome to the Reader/Writer Spooky Story Halloween Event at Southglenn Library! Get ready for a night with ghoulish tales to send chills down your spine.

Readers listen to stories that will be writen at the event based off promps associated with adult coloring pages. Writers pick the art they'd like to write on and after a decision has been made, only then will the prompts be revealed.

While writers weave their tales, readers will spend some time coloring. After some writing/coloring time with creepy ambiance music, we'll go around the room in a campfire setting and share the stories. Writers can read their own stories, readers are free to volunteer, or the host will white knight - or for this event - black knight and read for the writer to share these spooky tales.

Whether you're a fan of horror or enjoy crafting your own tales, this event is perfect for getting you into the spooky season!

Be ready for a spooktacular time at the library with maybe even a few tricks and treats - costumes are encouraged but not required! See you there!
