About this event

Join us at Bierstadt Lagerhaus for Splatter Paint Sunday! All ages welcome.

How it works:

Please arrive 5 minutes before your time slot to gear up for a colorful mess! We will provide you with full body coverings including a poncho, goggles, booties, gloves, and hair caps. Our chaos coordinator will walk you through the splatter materials and techniques to spark your creativity!

$33 per painter includes:

One FREE half-liter beer, cider, wine or NA option

30 minutes in the Splatter Tent

1 11x14 Canvas

10 Paint Colors (washable and nontoxic)

All painting props, tools, and paint spinner

Body Coverings: poncho, booties, hair cap, goggles, gloves

Please note this is a public event. The splatter tent can accommodate up to 6 painters at a time, so the space will be shared with other guests. Sorry, no refunds.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can participate?

The tent can comfortably host 6 painters at a time. If your party is larger than 6 painters, special accommodations may be made or oftentimes groups will split into smaller groups so they each have a turn in the splatter tent.

Is this indoors or outdoors?

This is an outdoor event (weather-permitting), or we set up in the tap room if weather is not cooperating.

Is the splatter tent kid-friendly?

Yes! Any and all artists of all ages are welcome.

Do I need to reserve space in advance?

Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome if the space is available.

What do I wear?

The paint is non-toxic, washable, tempera paint and body coverings are always provided. However, accidents do happen - it’s probably best not to wear your all-time favorite outfit when splatter painting. Paint will wash off your skin and hair with soap and water.

How long does it take to dry?

Depending on how heavy-handed of a painter you are, some canvases take longer to dry than others. Typically the canvas will dry in under 30 minutes. Newspaper is provided for transporting wet canvases as needed.

I’ve never painted before, is this for me?

Yes, yes, YES! Splatter painting is all about creating abstract art and enjoying the experience.
