Frequently asked questions

What can I expect?

You and your party will be transported via bus to our launch site, collect your tubes from our launch team and begin your float. Just kick back and relax and we'll see you in about 90 minutes at our check-in location where your car is parked. Be sure to purchase a reservation here before July 19.

Do I need a reservation prior to the day of the event?

Yes. Reserve a river tube and life jacket for only $15 (includes the participation fee) for one of our three launch times. Supplies are limited and tend to sell out so pre-reservations are REQUIRED.

When are the three launch times?

We work with the Army Corp of Engineers at Roush Dam in Huntington to create the perfect lazy river flow on the Wabash River for this one-day event. Launches are scheduled for 10 AM,12 PM, and 2 PM. Pick the time that works best for you and your party.

Where do I park and check in?

Parking and check in are at the Forks of the Wabash, located at 3011 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN 46750.

How early should I arrive?

Please plan to arrrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to your launch time as transportation will begin at least 30+ minutes early in order to move all participants to the river area. The float lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Can I bring my own tube?

Yes, you can bring your own tube and float for $10 to help cover event costs and to support a good cause. Float at ANY of our THREE launch times (10 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM) with the NO RENTAL fee. Life jackets are required and tubes must be river quality - No pool floats! Purchase a BYO reservation.

If I bring my own tube, does it need to be inflatated before I arrive?

No. Tubes must be deflated for bus transport to the launch site. We have plenty of pumps at the launch site for you to prepare your tubes for launching.

Where can I find your Facebook page?

Will there be a cancellation in the event of inclement weather?

Weather and river conditions cause changes to our launch schedule and/or cancellations. Splash on the Wabash is held RAIN OR SHINE. Our team works directly with area rescue authorities to ensure that our participants can safely get into the water in case of severe weather that includes lightning.

If cancelled, where will a notice be posted?

Each launch time will be looked at individually as weather can chance quickly. We will do our best to continue with the float. In the event that we need to cancel a specific launch time, we will post updates on Facebook.
