Forth Valley 16 Days of Activism are proud to be hosting Myra Ross for one of her incredible and powerful story telling events. Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking session with Myra, who uses storytelling as a way to raise awareness and spark conversation around gender-based violence.

We will get together in Falkirk Library to participate in Myra's online story telling event for Forth Valley, with space to reflect and discuss together afterwards.

The story of the Spider In The Glass - The Abusive Relationship - Domestic Abuse has reached thousands across Scotland. This time we will look at the experience of the abusive relationship through the eyes of an older child. The story will explore how the abusive relationship is the "glass" in which crimes of childhood sexual exploitation are often perpetrated and how gender based violence shows up in the world of child protection.

Through her unique, narrative-based approach, Myra helps audiences connect emotionally with the lived realities behind the issue — encouraging understanding, reflection, and collective action. Myra tells the stories from the perspective of the person being harmed and we would encourage people to think about their own emotional safety throughout the session.

We look forward to seeing you there!
