Community Screening of Desert Angel + Q&A
Overview
Join us for a special screening of Desert Angel, the award-winning documentary by director Vincent DeLuca. DeLuca follows one family in their harrowing journey to reunite across the US-Mexico border.
Rafael Larraenza risked everything 40 years ago to start a new life in the U.S. Today, he leads Los Angeles del Desierto, a volunteer organization dedicated to searching for migrants risking their lives to make the same crossing.
When a Salvadoran woman reports her son is missing, Rafael sets off to find him in the sweltering borderlands. This is their story. (Trailer)
The Q&A features a conversation with the filmmaker, Rafael, and Briana Greer, an immigration rights advocate and legal representative with the Immigration Resource Center.
Learn how we can take action as a community to support our immigrant neighbors. There is a suggested minimum donation of $10. All proceeds benefit the nonprofits Angeles del Desierto and IRC of San Gabriel Valley
