This presentation will include information on the three types of special needs trusts and how they can be used for the supplemental needs of an individual with a disability. It will also include information on the ABLE Account; a savings program similar to the 529 plans; but for individuals with disabilities.
We will also help the answer the question family members with loved ones with a disability have been asking for years: What Will Happen When I’m Gone?

Our Presenter: Casie Stephens
Casie joined MSNT in September 2011, after working as a case manager with the Clay County Public Administrators office. Casie educates professionals, families, and individuals about special needs trusts and ABLE Accounts. She works closely with Co-Trustees and guardians to help administer the trust sub-accounts. Casie graduated from William Jewell College with a BA in Psychology, received her certification as a Work Incentives Practitioner from Cornell University, and recently obtained a Leadership Essentials Certificate also from Cornell University.
