Do I have to dance barefoot?

Shoes are acceptable on the dance floor. We provide wipes at the door to clean off street shoes.

Usually there are 2 DJs at each dance, and each DJ has their own style. But you can expect a wide variety of music spanning the globe along with popular favorites from past and present. We generally start things off with slower grooves to give everyone a chance to get loose and warmed up.

Saturday Evening Dance and Improv Workshop at the Barefoot Boogie

We provide a safe, casual, alcohol-free environment where folks can freely express themselves in movement. People of all ages are welcome. Come alone or bring your friends. You'll find folks at the dance moving solo, with partners, and/or in groups. Wear comfortable clothes; you can dance barefoot but footwear is also allowed on the dance floor.

Pay at the door, $10-20 sliding scale (less if you volunteer to help out!). Proceeds from the dance go to benefit local food pantry. The Barefoot Boogie is a not-for-profit, cooperative and volunteer-run venture.
