In this improvisation/composition workshop we will experiment with different relationships between dancing and speaking. What are some possibilities for generating movement with word images and vice versa - how can dancing inspire writing and speaking. We will explore different techniques for finding and playing with voice in dialogue with movement….how can movement language and spoken language work together (or in opposition) to create multiple layers of meaning, image and emotion.

Wendy Woodson is a renown choreographer/director/writer and teacher with forty-five years of experience in creating techniques and performances that emphasize unique relationships between moving and speaking.
