Speakers by the Sea was founded in 2003 and for 15 years has achieved the President's Distinguished Club award, the highest honor Toastmasters bestows. We are in the Los Angeles/South Bay Region of Southern California.

As Toastmasters is a non-profit organization, our club dues are a bargain! $20 one-time new member fee payable to Toastmasters International & $12 per month. Dues are collected twice a year in October & April & are pro-rated according to the month you join.

The meeting agenda is in four parts: 1. Prepared speeches, 2. Evaluation of the prepared speeches, 3. Table Topics (extemporaneous speaking practice), 4. Visitor input.

Toastmasters International provides a curriculum called Pathways; a tutorial for writing speeches with specific objectives such as storytelling, persuasive speech, speeches for social occasions (eulogy or toast), speaking using a multi-media presentation & developing leadership skills.
