Description: When educators or students witness instances of bias and injustice, they often don’t know what to do. This interactive, virtual professional development will introduce participants to Learning for Justice strategies that educators and students can use to speak up instead of remain silent. This session is ninety minutes and delivered via Zoom.

Objective: Participants will learn how to use the four speak up strategies to speak up against bias and injustice.

This workshop is open only to K-12 educators. Participants may include:

Current K–12 teachers, administrators and counselors.
Pre-service K-12 teachers.
Educators who teach or coach K–12 teachers, administrators and counselors.

The session will be conducted via the Zoom platform with closed captioning. No special equipment is required other than a stable internet connection and a web camera.
