About the Training

This is a hands-on workshop that teaches you how to recognize an opioid overdose, give Narcan, perform CPR, and communicate effectively with individuals facing addiction, because every word matters, and every action counts.

Topics in Training

  • Effective Communication: Learn how to engage with individuals facing addiction and guide conversations that can support recovery.
  • Identifying Overdose Signs: Identify the key signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose to respond quickly.
  • Narcan Administration: Get trained on how to safely and effectively use Narcan to reverse an opioid overdose.
  • CPR & AED Training: Practice life-saving skills, including basic CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

By attending and participating in this workshop, you will receive one (1) unit of Narcan.
