Sparrow Round Up at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center
Overview
Join us for a morning of birding at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center as we search for migrating sparrows. We will see some of the classic Sparrows of Harford County such as Song, White-throated, Swamp, Field, and Chipping Sparrow. If we get lucky we might stumble upon a Fox, Lincoln's, or White-crowned Sparrow.
We will meet at the red barn at 9am and after a breif introduction, will begin searching the property for sparrows and other bords and wildlife. Please bring binocular, a camera, walking shoes, and warm clothes. We will search the property for birds until 11 am then conclude the walk in the Wildlife Center.
This event is weather dependent, our rain date will be TBD. Tickets are $10 for each adult and $3 per child plus fees. Donations are appreciated! Event is limited due to parking first come first served (please use link to purchase online). Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. The Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center property is not yet open to the public and is only open for special events such as this one at this time.
This event made possible by a grant from the Harford County Office of Community & Economic Development. For those of you who are visiting from out of town, please consider staying in a local hotel so you can join both of our pollinator events this weekend.
