Southwest - inspired Bookmarks: Create Handmade Keepsakes
Overview
Southwest-Inspired Bookmarks: Create Handmade Keepsakes
Discover the joy of creating handmade gifts you're truly proud to give this holiday season.
In this 2-hour live workshop, you’ll design a beautiful bookmark inspired by New Mexico’s rich artistic heritage. Using simple patterns and the desert’s signature colors—turquoise, terracotta, golden yellow, and sand—you’ll create a meaningful keepsake that’s a pleasure to give (or keep for yourself).
No artistic experience needed. If you can draw a line, you can make something beautiful.
🎨 Color Note:
Choose the colors that speak to you — or enjoy the simplicity of ink alone. Our suggested palette draws from the warm hues of the Southwest: sunlit golds, soft turquoise, and earthy terracotta. But as always, follow your own creative rhythm — every choice is perfect.

Honoring New Mexico's Artistic Heritage
Our designs celebrate the pattern-making traditions inspired by nature and deeply rooted in New Mexico’s rich artistic heritage.
We honor the Indigenous peoples of this region—including the Pueblo, Navajo, Apache, and other nations—as the original stewards and master artists of these creative traditions.
While we draw inspiration from the aesthetic principles of geometric design; repetition, symmetry, and pattern-building, we do not replicate specific tribal or ceremonial motifs.

W hat students are saying about Yehudit's Zentangle® classes
Mary Canaban
Yehudit’s Beginning Zentangle 101 class helped me establish a true Zentangle practice and understand the importance of the 8-step method. She met me where I was creatively, offered generous support, and inspired me to continue with her Zen and Creativity series.
Wendy Stein
Yehudit’s Zentangle® class was top-notch—she’s both an artist and a gifted educator who makes complex concepts simple and fun. I left with tangible skills, beautiful artwork, and a renewed sense of creative confidence.
Nancy Hastings ( Retired English Professor, NMSU, Las Cruces, NM)
Yehudit’s YouTube Inktober series is professional, beautifully paced, and visually refreshing. Her calm, voice-led approach and thoughtful demonstrations make learning both inspiring and enjoyable.
