Whether it's your first attempt or your hundredth, our goal is to demystify the sourdough bread baking process so you can make tangy, chewy, flavorful bread at home. We will discuss the "why" as well as the "how" to achieve predictable, consistently delicious results.
The best way to learn is to get your hands dirty! In this 2-hour class, we will practice mixing, kneading, shaping, scoring, and baking a traditional sourdough batard (an oval-shaped loaf).
We want to set you up for success! You will go home with:
- A shaped dough for you to bake at home the same afternoon as class
- Jar of active sourdough starter with feeding instructions
- Banneton proofing basket with liner
- Sourdough bread recipe and instructions
- Support from your new sourdough baking friends!
