Do I need any sourdough experience?

No experience needed! This workshop is designed for complete beginners. We’ll walk through everything step-by-step.

Yes! BYOB is welcome. You may bring wine, cider, champagne, or non-alcoholic drinks.

Will we bake the bread during the class?

No. We’ll mix and fold your dough in class, then you’ll take it home to rise and bake the next day.

What will I take home with me?

You’ll leave with: • An established sourdough starter • A dough you mixed and folded in class • Instructions for proofing and baking

Overview

Learn sourdough in a cozy BYOB workshop at Feathers! Starter, dough, snacks + a prize drawing included. Jan 8, 6–8 PM.

This workshop is perfect for anyone who has wanted to try sourdough but didn’t know where to begin. We’ll walk through each step together, from mixing and stretching/folding to understanding fermentation and how to bake your loaf the next day.

You’ll leave with:

• Your own active starter

• Dough ready to bake Friday

• A clear understanding of the sourdough process

• The confidence to keep baking at home

Please bring a large mixing bowl and your favorite BYOB drink (wine, cider, mocktails). Everything else is provided.

Light snacks will be provided. We’ll also take a short break so you can browse and shop at Feathers.
