About this event

Sourdough 101: A Hands-On Bread Baking Experience

Come hang out for a fun, relaxed 3-hour sourdough workshop where we’ll roll up our sleeves, get our hands in some dough, and dive into the basics of baking delicious sourdough at home.

Whether you’ve never touched a starter or you’ve tried a few loaves and want to build your confidence, this class is all about learning by doing—and having a good time while we’re at it.

What to expect:

•Intro to Sourdough- I've put together a comprehensive starter guide that we'll go over together in class.

• Feed Your Starter – We’ll feed a jar of sourdough starter together, and you’ll take it home to continue your baking journey.

• Get Your Hands in the Dough – We’ll mix, fold, and shape dough together so you can see and feel what each stage should look like.

• Practice Scoring & Bake a Loaf – Learn to use a bread lame and practice scoring techniques on half-loaf, which we’ll bake in class and you get to take home and enjoy.

You’ll Leave With:

• A jar of active sourdough starter, fed during class

• Dough you mixed and shaped yourself, ready to bake at home

• A half-loaf you scored and baked during class.

• A full sourdough starter kit- Each participant receives a sourdough essentials kit, including:

* Banneton basket

* Bench scraper

* Bread lame

* Danish dough whisk

* And more!

• An informal sourdough packet with tips, key terms, troubleshooting advice, and baking timelines

• The knowledge and confidence to bake sourdough on your own!
