Join Leah Crosby in this soundwalk exploring the grounds of Pine Meadow Ranch! Get in tune with the world surrounding us and experience the different sonic environments.
Event Highlights:
Learn to Listen: Leah will guide participants in physical centering and in practicing listening skills. They will lead participants on a 15 minute walk through the grounds of Pine Meadow Ranch to listen deeply and reflect on the surrounding landscape.
Engage with the Environment: A sound walk is focused on taking the time to listen to the environment. Take a break from the fast paced world and enjoy the sounds of nature!
Optional materials to bring:
- Notebook or something to write in
- Pen/pencil/favorite writing implement
For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.
About the Instructor:
Leah Crosby is a multimedia artist using sound, performance, machines, and text to make work about paid caregiver relationships, memory loss, and human connection. Their MFA is from the Penny Stamps School of Art and Design.
