Frequently asked questions

What exactly is a sound bath and what should I expect to happen?

A sound bath is a relaxing & immersive experience where you "bathe" in the sounds & vibrations from various instruments, such as singing bowls & chimes. You'll lie down comfortably & allow the sounds to wash over you to calm your mind, reduce stress, & promote a sense of peace & well-being.

What should I bring with me to be comfortable outdoors?

We recommend bringing: A comfortable blanket will be your main layer for lying down and staying warm and cozy on the ground. (Optional) A yoga mat on your blanket can provide extra cushioning and insulation. A pillow can provide support for your head and neck for ultimate comfort.

What should I wear to a sound bath in the park?

We recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that will allow you to relax and move easily. Layers are always a good idea, as the temperature in the park can shift, especially as the morning temperature rises.

Do I need to have any prior experience with sound baths or meditation to participate?

No. This sound bath is open to everyone, regardless of whether you've experienced a sound bath or practiced meditation before. There's nothing you need to do or know beforehand. Come with an open mind and a willingness to relax. The sounds will do the work, and you can simply lie back & relax.

What if the weather is bad? Is there a rain date or indoor location?

The sound bath is scheduled to be held outdoors to connect with nature. However, the event will be rescheduled in case of inclement weather. Notifications will be sent the day before via email, Instagram: Healing VibesByTanya & the Live Healthy Gwinnett's Facebook page.
