About this event
Experience the transformative power of a sound bath, interwoven with the melodic beauty of live cello. This unique collaboration in the marvelous acoustics and stained glass windows of Mt. Ida Church creates a deeply soothing and restorative environment. The cello's harmonic resonance complements the vibrations of the sound instruments, creating a truly immersive and healing experience. Sound bath sessions can help manage anxiety and depression, and it can work through any feelings of grief non-verbally. The cello's rich, resonant sound adds a layer of emotional depth, guiding you deeper into relaxation and introspection. You will be instructed at the beginning on how you can use your breath to help guide your individual experience.
Instruments used are: Gong, crystal singing bowls, metal singing bowls, chimes, shruti box, voice, and cello. Please bring yoga mats, blankets and anything that you would like for comfort such as a pillow. Also, you can bring a journal and pen to write things down if you like. There are about 20 spots available for the floor space at the front, and church pew seating is offered as well. Andrea will sometimes move around the resonant acoustic space with her instruments so you will have a sonic experience no matter where you sit or lie down. It is first come first serve for seating. Please arrive 10 minutes before 7pm to get settled and comfortable.
