Sound 101: Fundamentals of Sound and Sound Systems

Want to understand how to set up a sound system? What to know what equipment you need for your event or venue? This class is meant for people who are new to sound systems or who want to have a better understanding of the basics of sound and sound systems.

Prequisite: None

Restrictions: Must be at least 16 years of age

Class Max: 25 people

Class Minimum: 10 people

If the class miniumn is not met for this date, the class will be rescheduled. In that event, the registration fee paid will transfer forward to the new date. See our FAQs for more information.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Must be 16 years or older 

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Lunch will be provided. If you have special dietary needs, email classes@welshsound.com. We recommend that you bring a notebook and pencil or a handheld tablet. This class may be broken into sections that will be taught in various locations at our facility and laptops may not be the most practical way to take notes.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Your registration is non-transferable unless the class is rescheduled by Welsh Sound. That would only happen if the class minimum is not met or in the case of inclement weather. 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes. 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. We will have a check-in when you arrive.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

That's okay.
