Michael “BIG MIKE” Hart Jr. is a powerhouse guitarist, producer, bassist, and vocal arranger known for his signature retro-soul sound. A Sacramento native with 20+ years of experience, Big Mike draws inspiration from legends like Rob “Fonksta” Bacon, John “Jubu” Smith, and his uncle Jimi “Bottom Hammock” Morris, blending their influences into a style all his own.
His impressive résumé includes touring, writing, and producing for major networks and artists including MTV, VH1, BET, DJ Quik, Dogg Pound, Ricky Bell (New Edition), Lenny Williams, Wayman Tisdale, Lin Rountree, and more. He has served as Musical Director for Kenny Lattimore and Joe, toured with KEM, and currently performs with smooth jazz superstar Boney James.
