SoulCollageTM-Nixa

is a method of creative expression that is practiced worldwide. The tried and true process invites you to the kaleidoscopic depths of yourself using image, imagination and intuition. This art process is a fun, quiet, easy-going cutting and pasting of prepared images to create 5 x 8 collage cards. Over time, one can create a whole oracle deck of cards to use ongoingly to consult for wisdom, to hear from your own inner allies and challengers, and to make beloved conduits to the truths of your soul. We gather, center, and find a mind state to intuitively choose images, make collages, and then we voice and scribe them for each other in loving service. The soul horizon expands and heals by the inner conversation, the voicing of the new card’s energy, the act of scribing for another soul’s collage, and hearing your inner voice read back to you, profoundly. It’s gloriously fun, evocative and emergent.

In each card-making studio, you will make one to three collages, given your pace and time.

You can stop there and display them at home as beautiful images from your depths. You can do card-readings even with a few cards, but better still, you can continue and build an entire deck of cards, somewhat like tarot. When one has just a few cards, readings and self-inquiry practices develop and with many card allies, readings become even more rich and evocative of your collection of soul aspects. Your one card or entire deck honors you in all of your multiplicitous and beautiful life expressed. Acknowledged. Spoken. Served.

Nixa De Bellis

Nixa's life long interest in spiritual traditions began in earnest through nature and art. While other children were out playing competitive sports, she soaked in sunshine as worship, immersed in water with elemental delight, and spent hours drawing flora and fauna as her favorite subjects, or grounding under the big pine tree ritually arranging seeds and sticks in prayerful contemplation.

As a teenager, she found yoga, which has been the longest consistent endeavor of her life. She is a lineage holder of Rajanaka Sri Vidya with Dr Douglas Brooks and Gopala Iyer Sundaramoorthy, to whom she is eternally grateful for helping her find her heart in the expansively diverse ever-growing tree of life. She founded Inside Out Yoga School at exhale and Inside Out Yoga Village, both in Manhattan, for continuing studies in the deepest dimensions of the yogic mind.

She has been a devoted Wiccan since Starhawk, her primary teacher in Magic, guided her in feminism, activism and permaculture. She has held sacred circles since 1991, holds moon rituals and all of the sabbats as a guide for interested hearts.

Nixa has been meditating and teaching in the Wiccan, Yogic and Shamanic traditions for four decades.

Nixa holds an aesthetics license in NYS, which she uses in her treatment practice including Shiatsu, massage, gua sha, skin care, acupressure, AromaPoint Therapy and other spa therapies. She is a certified herbalist, mixes brews and blends of aromatic healing, and knows that the refinement of the senses is the accomplishment of Earthling wellness, insight, intuition and imagination.

Nixa has been spending time in the woods and waterfalls of the Hudson Valley since 2014, reclaiming the spirituality of Great Nature in nature, ever-happily.In recent years, Nixa has earned a certification through SUNY Albany School of Social Work in Trauma-Informed Creative Art Therapy to aid her proficiency in her work as a SoulCollage Facilitator. SoulCollage is a method, created by a Jungian psychotherapist, that involves using prepared images to access deep insight and inner guidance, voicing the images, scribing for others, sharing ourselves and making a collage card, or what might become an entire deck of oracle cards. DIVINE SHIELD The Divine Shield meditation is for creating a permeable, energetic protective veil as you prepare to exit the retreat and return to your routine world. A tool to maintain a radiant sphere of frequency for your comfort in carrying the SoulAlchemy work with you. This meditation expands the aura using a mantra to activate the power of the Heart Center.

WATER CEREMONY: We close the container of the weekend and ceremonies by bringing our glasses of water, charged by our collective energies, to the Esopus Creek to honor the water of the lands and ourselves.
