Dear Community Partner,
We are pleased to announce the 2nd annual Spotlight on Population Health (SOPHi) awards, which will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016. SOPHi is a celebratory event, showcasing the great work that is being accomplished in WNY. The SOPHi awards focus on population health project achievements in the eight counties of WNY. The awards will be held at Buffalo RiverWorks located along the banks of the Buffalo River.
We would like to invite you to be a sponsor of SOPHi 2016. By supporting this annual event, your organization will gain exposure among important healthcare and community members. Your sponsorship will ensure a successful event and help bring awareness of other organizations and programs in WNY.
We are still reeling from the enormous success of our first SOPHi— with SOPHi attracting over 250 attendees and expect this year's SOPHi to be a bigger success!
SOPHi began in 2015 as a fun way to bring organizations together across the eight counties and showcase their work. Nominations are entered in by the community, with the Population Health Improvement Program (PHIP) Steering Team voting on the awardees. Our aim is to help break down the silos in WNY and educate people on what is going on in our community.
SOPHi 2016 will feature Dr. Zubin Damania, also known as ZDoggMD, nonprofit exhibitors, vendors, and a healthy breakfast. ZDoggMD is an international icon and man of mild-to-moderate mystery. Apart from writing, performing, and producing award-winning medical rap videos that educate and entertain, he’s a highly sought-after thought leader and speaker. Rapper and internist Dr. Damania wants to shake up healthcare with ideas as bold and personable as his satirical videos.
