About this event

Arts • Musical

Murder Ballads and other songs about death have long been a staple of American rural music and have a history that goes back much further. Join Elmwood Director of Family Services, Bob Barnett as he explores the history of these songs through the lens of songs his mother, grandmother, and other relatives sang to him as he grew up in Alabama in the last century.

Join us for this indoor, seated presentation on Saturday, October 4th, at 2 pm. We will meet in the Lord's Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery. The cost is $15 per person, and advance registration is required.
