About this event
If you'd like to volunteer for the event, we'd love to have your help! Email theLivingRoomChoir@gmail.com for inquiries.
Sheniqua is a social justice activist, singer-songwriter, and vocal empowerment coach based in Brooklyn, New York. She has dedicated her life to creating spaces where people can heal, find their voice, and connect with others through music and communal singing. With years of experience facilitating song circles, vocal empowerment workshops, and community healing events, Sheniqua uses her voice and platform to advocate for social justice and personal empowerment.
As a mother and community leader, she understands the importance of creating inclusive, nurturing environments where everyone feels heard and valued. Sheniqua guides others to use their voices as instruments of change in their own lives and in the world. Sheniqua and Kaitie Ty (of Living Room Choir) have co-facilitated at Heather Houston's Sisters in Harmony Summer Retreat, 2025, and the adoration between the two flows abundantly!
Living Room Choir was founded in 2015 and is part of the international Ubuntu Choirs Network. Founded by Kaitie Ty Warren and now co-led by Kaitie Ty Warren and Sara Stutz, LRC meets weekly in El Cerrito and also mixes and mingles with the global singing community. Over the last decade LRC has hosted many wonderful songleaders (see our guest leader archive here). Sara and Kaitie both had the pleasure of singing with Sarina recently at an event in Canada, and we can't wait to have her here in California!
Please join us. All ages welcome. No sight reading necessary.
