Experience non-ordinary states of Consciousness with Somatic Trauma Release Breathwork to facilitate mental, spiritual and physical healing benefits.
This workshop will introduce you to the power of breathwork and its ability to bring about profound self-awareness and a more positive outlook on life.
Smooth and mostly slow breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system creating less stress in the body. The rise of C02 in the body calms the body and helps the absorption of oxygen in the tissue cells.
This breath technique inspired by SOMA Breath lowers stress, inflammation and symptoms of depression. Helps the heart perform how it should, protecting it from long term issues. Increases stamina, vitality, focus, relaxation and teaches you to breathe less to live longer
This practice allows you to move beyond your body and ego where you can make contact with your True Nature, connecting you to your Divinity.
This is one of the most powerful techniques for achieving healing states of consciousness. Somatic Trauma Release has been used to help overcome depression, stress, addiction, PTSD, migraines, chronic pain, asthma, avoidance behaviors and premenstrual tension.
The method used for this workshop is inspired by SOMA Breath techniques where I had my training. With this method, one is able to ascend gradually to an altered state with a more gentle approach while not taxing the nervous system.
This workshop will be great for people who are seeking healing, who want to get off meds, who want more control over their health with powerful self-healing techniques.
Bring yoga mat, heavy blanket, journal and water bottle.
Contraindications of Intermittent Hypoxic Training (IHT)
Slow rhythmic breathing techniques of SOMA Breath are safe to be used for anyone, and can be beneficial for all individuals.
Forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and extended intense fast breathwork/hyperventilation for more than 5 minutes, should NOT be practiced in the case of any of the following:
- Severe/critical diseases or infections if it impairs your ability to breathe
- Severe uncontrolled hypertension (usually after a heart attack)
- Organ failure or late-stage terminal illness
- Pregnancy
- If you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, or irregular heart beat (Exception: your doctor gives you specific permission).
Some conditions (Eg: Tinnitus, hernias) may be aggravated by forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and prolonged, intense, rapid breathing/hyperventilation and careful attention to technique is required.
