Somatic Sundays
Overview
Somatic Sundays are a gentle weekly space to reconnect with your body, nourish your nervous system, and settle into deeper presence. Each Sunday offers two practices that honor rhythm, breath, and inner awareness, with options for all levels and all bodies.
Class 1 — Mala Yoga: Mantra + 27 Sun & Moon Salutations (2:30PM-4PM)
We begin with Mala Yoga, a moving meditation that blends mantra, breath, and repetition to create steady rhythm in the body and mind.
The sequence unfolds in three parts:
1. 9 repetitions of a Sun mantra to awaken warmth, clarity, and activation.
2. Sun salutations, practiced with mindful pacing and accessible modifications.
3. 9 repetitions of a Moon mantra to soften, cool, and ground the energy.
4. Moon salutations, practiced slowly to invite spaciousness and emotional ease.
In total, we complete 27 sun and moon salutations, but always at a pace that honors your body. You are welcome to adapt movements, take breaks, or rest as needed. This is a practice of presence, not performance.
Class 2 — Qi Gong (4:15PM-5:45PM)
Our second offering is a spacious 90-minute Qi Gong class designed to support grounding, circulation, and emotional balance through gentle, flowing movement. We begin with the Five-Sound Healing practice — a simple, accessible way to release tension and support the organs using breath and sound.
After this grounding opening, we move into a full Qi Gong practice, exploring slow, fluid movements that are kind to the joints, beginner-friendly, and supportive for anyone needing a gentle somatic doorway into the week. The emphasis is on comfort, breath, and moving with ease.
You’re welcome to join for one or both sessions.
Come as you are, and leave feeling centered, open, and deeply nourished.
